camp sesame

6/24/15

Ummmm...Camp Sesame was absolutely killin' it.  I never thought before we left that the boys would spend time there other than long enough for the two adults in our family to spend some time together at the spa and maaaaybe a dinner one night for two instead of four, but after one meal (on day 2) with their new friends it was all eat-with-you-who?. So every morning we would look at the schedule for the day, and if there were things on the agenda they wanted to participate in, they did.  They made tie-dye t-shirts, they made pizza from scratch and watched it cook in a brick oven, they learned some Jamaican dialect, and they went several rounds in the x-box lounge.

And the Sesame Street characters were in full force.  They appeared randomly at the pools, went on scavenger hunts with the Camp Sesame kids, marched in a parade, provided part of the nightly entertainment one evening (a dance-off with the camp kids), and if you made reservations ahead of time, they would get behind the camera for a family photoshoot and would even have breakfast with you.  So so cool.

From the morning just before we left...

yeah even the facility was a to the dorable...and then they got Camp Sesame graduation certificates, bags full of snacks and drinks for the trip home, and hugs all around.  The bomb.
