Spring has sprung, and this week we've caught a major break. No school, no work for the past five days.
Instead we watched Parker get his first haircut and kissed the boo boos he got from falling down (a portion) of our stairs (Oh yeah...he's scaling those things. And quickly.). We set a date with Grandma and Grandpa at Chuck E. Cheese. It was Jake's first time, and he owned every second of it. We blew through a medium pepperoni pizza, two trips to the salad bar, 80 tokens, and 163 tickets in a matter of two hours, and it was awesome. Even Parker's face lit up like he had just ridden the scream machine while he sat in that little car with a Chuck E. replica next to him. We watched soooo many movies (my favorite - definitely "I Don't Know How Does She Does It", and I loved, loved, loved "Larry Crowne" and "Love Wedding Marriage"). And we made a quick overnight getaway to Atlanta to spend a day at the Georgia Aquarium.
Our days have definitely been full of smiles, tears, piggy back rides, "No!"'s, puzzles, hide and go seek, "I'm not happy at you, Mommy!"'s, and car rides. How do they go so freakin' fast? I can't get over the fact that only two are left, and I hate that I'm so anxious about that.
Today and tomorrow are all about fitting it all in and makin' the most of it.
I hope you have a great weekend too!
I am glad you are having sunny days ;).
